Who we are
The establishment of Slum Life Survival (SLS) was driven by the recognition that the lives of slum dwellers could be transformed through targeted interventions. Since its inception in 2018, SLS has been committed to improving the well-being of those living in slum communities. Over the years, we have focused on empowering marginalized individuals, including youth, children, women, single mothers, widows, people with disabilities, and the elderly.
SLS has implemented a range of programs and initiatives aimed at addressing the specific challenges faced by slum communities. Our efforts have included providing access to clean water, sanitation, and healthcare facilities, promoting education and skill development, advocating for policy changes to ensure equitable urban development, and fostering entrepreneurship and economic empowerment. By collaborating with partner organizations and working directly with the communities, SLS has made significant strides in enhancing the lives of slum dwellers.
As we look back on our journey, SLS has made a tangible impact on the lives of slum communities. Through our programs, we have reached over 1000 individuals, offering them vital support and opportunities for a better future. Our dedication to sustainable objectives, such as ending poverty, achieving zero hunger, promoting good health and well-being, ensuring quality education, striving for gender equality, and creating sustainable cities and communities, continues to guide our work. Together with our team of committed professionals and volunteers, SLS remains steadfast in its mission to Improve livelihoods through skills training, education, and development, the provision of basic necessities, and encouraging social cohesion.
