WASH Programme
Overview
Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) is a foundational focus area for Slum Life Survival (SLS). Poor WASH conditions are a direct driver of waterborne disease, poor nutrition, lost productivity, and school absenteeism in slum communities, undermining progress across every other sector SLS works in, from education to livelihoods. Our goal is to improve access to clean and safe water for slum residents by implementing water and sanitation infrastructure projects alongside healthcare interventions that strengthen the overall health and well-being of the communities we serve.

As part of our 2025–2030 Strategic Plan, SLS aims to reach 2,000 people through 6 WASH events by June 2028, combining health camps, community clean-ups, and hygiene sensitization drives.
