Slum Life Survival (SLS)

Slum Life Survival (SLS) is a non-governmental organisation founded in 2018 and committed to improving the lives of people living in slum communities. We address the challenges they face by empowering youth, children, and women, improving access to clean water, sanitation, healthcare, and education, strengthening climate resilience, and advocating for equitable urban development.

We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live a better life, regardless of socioeconomic status. Through the dedication of our team of experts and volunteers, we develop practical and sustainable solutions that respond to the needs of slum communities.

To strengthen slum communities' capacity through skills training, encouraging financial inclusion and providing comprehensive psychosocial support so they can establish enduring livelihoods and forge promising futures.

To provide education to families and individuals in the slum communities, empowering them to enhance their quality of life and become self-sufficient.

To improve access to clean and safe water resources for the residents by implementing water and sanitation infrastructure projects and healthcare interventions that will improve the overall health and well-being of slum dwellers.

To advocate for policies that support equitable urban development and address the root causes of poverty and inequality in slums.

Community Engagement

SLS actively engages with slum communities, building relationships, and understanding their specific needs and aspirations.

Program Development

Based on the identified needs, SLS develops and implements targeted programs and initiatives. These programs focus on empowering youth, children, women, and other vulnerable groups, providing access to clean water, sanitation, healthcare, and education, and promoting sustainable and equitable urban development.
