Slum Life Survival (SLS) recognizes that climate change disproportionately affects vulnerable communities, particularly those in slum areas. We advocate for better climate action within slum communities and the government, emphasizing the importance of grassroots awareness in driving meaningful change.

Focus

Grassroots & Policy Advocacy

Engaging both communities and policymakers to develop and implement policies that support climate action at all levels through climate-focused education programs, urban planning policies, and environmental justice and accountability.

Waste Management & Community Resilience

Sustainable waste management plays a crucial role in climate adaptation and urban resilience. Our efforts focus on reducing pollution and health hazards of products, thus minimizing environmental damage. By promoting clean energy, we reduce carbon emissions. Collectively, we strengthen community-led resilience strategies like improved drainage systems to prevent flooding and other climate-related risks.

Urban Reforestation & Greening Initiatives

We actively promote environmental restoration in communities to improve air quality, enhance food security through environmentally friendly farming practices, and transform communities into green zones that reduce heat stress in urban areas.
